Can I survive as a YouTuber

I have been on YouTube for several years now. I've done acting content and I barely made a dent.

I needed help to get likes, shares, and subscribers. I eventually gave up on the acting channel. I kept it as a part-time thing. A hobby more or less.

Then I decided to use my military survival skills and start Backyard Off-Grid. After accidentally burning down my house. The fire uncovered an illegal foundation and after not one. But Three years of living in my backyard. I have a house with solar and fire sprinklers.

I'm an entrepreneur, Rideshare driver, and content creator. With a little over 715 subscribers on YouTube.

I'm sure that "I can survive as a YouTuber." I go camping, hiking, kayaking, and on road trips.

I'm a solo traveler looking for my soul mate and trying to be a Full-Time YouTuber.

I created this blog to tell my story and hope that there are people out there inspired by my journey and story.

If you search Backyard Off-Grid on YouTube you'll find my channel. If you search Google you'll find where I live. Backyard Off-Grid is on Google Maps. I also make and sell bar soaps, candles, and jewelry.

I'm studying digital marketing and e-commerce as well. So hopefully this blog finds like-minded people.

People who are just as adventurous as me. On TikTok, my nickname has become Backyard. Even though my user name is Backyard Off-Grid Trading Post.  I have a TikTok shop. It's really hard to sell anything on there. So I hope that I "Can survive as a YouTuber." Literally trying to become a full-time YouTuber so

I can be the next Mr. Beast YouTube millionaire and help those who need it.

My website is www.backyardog.shop

Thanks for reading this and have a great day!

The Grand Canyon Adventure: Off-Grid Living, Solo Camping, and the Ultimate Road Trip Finale

If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring America’s most iconic natural wonder , the Grand Canyon , and doing it completely off-grid like I did , this post is for you. This was the grand finale of my road trip series — the best content I’ve ever filmed — and I’m excited to share the adventure, challenges, and lessons I learned along the way. Why the Grand Canyon? The Grand Canyon isn’t just a breathtaking view — it’s an adrenaline rush for explorers like me who thrive on adventure and solitude. As a U.S. veteran , solo camping has always been my way of finding peace, pushing my limits, and making memories that last a lifetime. This trip was no exception. From heart-pounding cliffside hikes to quiet moments watching the sun rise over the canyon rim, every second felt like a gift. The scale of the Grand Canyon can’t be captured in a single shot — but I tried my best! Off-Grid Survival at Its Best Living off-grid means being prepared for anything , especially when you’re hundreds of mile...

Welcome to The Backyard Off-Grid Blog

Welcome to Backyard Off-Grid. What is Backyard Off-grid you may ask. Well just imagine doomsday prepper meets backyard camper. Long story short I started a YouTube channel to document my life living in my Backyard. Living without shore power for 10 months. So Off-Grid? Yes living on generators to run a CPAP machine. Using my military and mechanical skills to survive life while my house was put on hold. I accidentally burned down my house because of a bird-infested roof. The birds were so bad I could barely sleep. Being a full-time truck driver at the time. Six days a week 13-14 hour days. Getting sleep was a big deal. So I took it into my own hand to extinguish the house that I accidentally burned down. Luckily I was able to get my mom and animals out of the house. The said house was a poorly remodeled house and was sitting on an illegal foundation and would have caved in on itself after 10 years. So the county condemned the house that was supposed to be remodeled till the illegal...
