Welcome to The Backyard Off-Grid Blog

Welcome to Backyard Off-Grid. What is Backyard Off-grid you may ask. Well just imagine doomsday prepper meets backyard camper. Long story short I started a YouTube channel to document my life living in my Backyard. Living without shore power for 10 months. So Off-Grid? Yes living on generators to run a CPAP machine. Using my military and mechanical skills to survive life while my house was put on hold.

I accidentally burned down my house because of a bird-infested roof. The birds were so bad I could barely sleep. Being a full-time truck driver at the time. Six days a week 13-14 hour days. Getting sleep was a big deal.

So I took it into my own hand to extinguish the house that I accidentally burned down. Luckily I was able to get my mom and animals out of the house. The said house was a poorly remodeled house and was sitting on an illegal foundation and would have caved in on itself after 10 years. So the county condemned the house that was supposed to be remodeled till the illegal foundation was uncovered by cutting a hole in the subflooring. Angels must be watching over me right? So that's Backyard Off-Grid.

Feel free to check out the channel and like, share, and subscribe. It's based on a true story. We like camping and pizza! We also are Airbnb and Turo, hosts. Video's normally get uploaded on Thursdays. Depending on our busy schedule.  Doing anything to survive the crazy Backyard Off-Grid life. Not the best way to experience tiny home living. But with the house being built almost 3 years after the fire, it was an experience worth sharing. From living in a hotel for 2 weeks, living out of my car, living in tents, and even an RV. I know glamping in California 36 miles north of Sacramento. I got the motivation to build tiny homes. which in California they are known as man caves and she sheds for legal reasons. Not to be lived in. But simply for storage. I see it as an oversized tent made of wood. Thanks to the camping ordinance in this county. Backyard Off-Grid is a Brand protected under Oak Bar LLC.

Use of this brand without permission can result in legal issues. We're not Facebook we won't socially ban you but please understand this is our means of living and we respect any business, so please respect ours.

An Airbnb Campsite may be funny to some but we don't joke about living on the streets, do we? So have a good day and let's go camping!

As a U.S. veteran , solo camping has always been my way of finding peace, pushing my limits, and making memories that last a lifetime. This trip was no exception. From heart-pounding cliffside hikes to quiet moments watching the sun rise over the canyon rim, every second felt like a gift. The scale of the Grand Canyon can’t be captured in a single shot — but I tried my best! Off-Grid Survival at Its Best Living off-grid means being prepared for anything , especially when you’re hundreds of mile...

Can I survive as a YouTuber

I have been on YouTube for several years now. I've done acting content and I barely made a dent. I needed help to get likes, shares, and subscribers. I eventually gave up on the acting channel. I kept it as a part-time thing. A hobby more or less. Then I decided to use my military survival skills and start Backyard Off-Grid. After accidentally burning down my house. The fire uncovered an illegal foundation and after not one. But Three years of living in my backyard. I have a house with solar and fire sprinklers. I'm an entrepreneur, Rideshare driver, and content creator. With a little over 715 subscribers on YouTube. I'm sure that "I can survive as a YouTuber." I go camping, hiking, kayaking, and on road trips.  I'm a solo traveler looking for my soul mate and trying to be a Full-Time YouTuber. I created this blog to tell my story and hope that there are people out there inspired by my journey and story. If you search Backyard Off-Grid on YouTube you'll f...
